Why do I need a website?

Did you know that every day 48 million people complete a task online like searching for information or buying something? Every single day!

As a crafter myself, I have gone to many local craft shows and spent hours standing there watching a small stream of customers filter through hoping they stop and buy a few things at my table. What has changed for me now that I have a website is that I now hand a business card out all the time - at craft shows to anyone who stops to look, one goes in the bag for each purchase, leave them on my table...just to name a few.

What has struck me is the number of people that really like taking a card and then ask me if the product they are interested in is on the site. This means potential additional sales in the future beyond just the time I am spending at the craft show. Yea!

Do I have to sell my products online if I have a website?

No. You can have a website that provides information only. People like to look and check things out so you can list your products and provide pictures. If your site is not setup with a shopping cart then the customer can still contact you directly to arrange a purchase.
